Was life simpler 40 years ago? I think it was… but we can choose to slow down, step back from the busyness of life for a week or a week-end, and spend some time (our most precious resource) intentionally – to notice what is good, and right, and true, and important. Westerfield Cabins is a great place to do just that!
There is no better getaway than a cozy and warm log cabin in the winter. The fireplace is grand in the evenings to gather our thoughts, and rest our weary souls. In the morning, we wrap our hands around a morning mug of warm as the sun creeps across the old pine floors – let it warm your feet as you consider and plan the day, the season, and what to do next.

One to Four people? The Cottage! (This is the only pet friendly unit, with a small cleaning fee – the floor is brick. All sleep in the same studio room)
Up to Seven people? The Cabin! (There are three fireplaces! 5 sleep in common use rooms)
One to Four people? The Kitchen Flat! (Apartment for longer stays, not a log cabin & no fireplace, but very cozy with reclaimed barn wood walls! 2 sleep in common use room)
Up to 12 people? The Cabin & Kitchen Flat Combo! (7 sleep in common use rooms)
Up to 16 people? You can rent it all!
We’ve had families meet from all over the country to enjoy the rustic but comfortable accommodations. It is particularly perfect if you are from here, live locally, or have family in the area. There is room to park a trailer (let us know, there is a fee for utilities). Outdoor amenities and seating (probably better in spring than winter!) are great for larger groups, and proximity to St. Louis offers no end of possible activities. It’s perfect for checking out local attractions: antiques, Christmas Markets, Bacon Festival, live music at Eckerts or The Weingarten. We also provide some books, games, and movies; there are many cozy spots to play, watch, or just curl up with a comfortable blanket, and read a good book. There is something for everyone!
